Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

The food here is delicious as far as buffets go. I have been to many buffets across the country, and the quality in majority of them simply do not compare to the superior quality and taste they have at China Buffet. Staff is friendly, the restaurant has great ambiance and the price cant be beat. When i visit from New York City coming on business to Lacrosse WI this is my go to place for lunch with the co-workers. Should definitely give this place a go. You cant beat the good quality and price!!!

Food was good and not super expensive. Only bad thing was there was 17 kinds of chicken and nothing else, like pork or beef

They get a 5/5 as far as Chinese buffets go. Standard fare, but food is always warm and the place is always clean. They were the only Chinese buffet in town that got NO health code violations for 2014.

Food was devoid of vegetables for the most part, fried and greasy. Someone was cleaning the aquarium and dumping the water out the front door while we were eating; less than appetizing! Sesame balls were my favorite part.

We had lunch here today and everything was quite cold. We noticed someone putzing around in the boiler room looking concerned, which led us to believe that the steamers were broken. The bill was $20 for two people- more expensive than other GOOD Chinese buffets in the area. When we complained about the meal, the man at the front just said "sorry". We had to demand a discount, and he wouldn't lower it past 20% of the total. Would not visit again.

Food is fairly standard Chinese buffet. Greasy, lots of fried stuff and globs of meat in salty brown sauce. Not good.

Not "A-OK". I've had better. My parents have been coming here for years and therefore so have I but less and less often. The menu is as tired as some of the people working there. They need to add some new items. The food is often not warm enough. They used to serve crab legs but no longer do. They used to have some of the best chicken wings in town but started serving drumsticks instead. They don't serve egg drop soup often enough. Their dessert bar really needs refreshing. It's boring. All of the baked goods/pastries taste like they were frozen and thawed out - not fresh. They always serve the same flavor of double jello. I could go on. One thing I like are the breaded shrimp but sometimes they substitute a cheaper, inferior variety. Here's a thought: Why not introduce some authentic dishes instead of all of the mediocre Americanized pseudo-Chinese cuisine? They could learn something from the other Chinese buffet in La Crosse - "Super Buffet". It's much better and you get more for your money.

Insert generic review of bad Chinese buffet here________________________. All the standard cutter recipes, decorations and grumpy deadpan Chinese cashier are present.

Food is OK. Don't go there much anymore because food is often cold.

This is your typical chinese buffet restaurant. We always visit China Buffet every time we come to La Crosse--I don't know why we love it so much. Sometimes they'll have unexpected dishes out on the buffet, like Japanese chicken-really good. But for the most part, it's the same every time we go. Nothing special.
